Water Testing and Marcellus Shale Drilling
Those of us who use natural water sources (wells, springs, ponds) should have a baseline test of water quality completed prior to the start of gas drilling in your locality. In the likley event that your water becomes contaminated as a result of the gas drilling activities, a baseline testing will be helpful in challenging the gas company responsible for ...the drilling. It is important to remember that the usual tests for bacteria contaminants is not sufficient and the testing should be completed by an EPA certified lab in your state.
